Mindy says, “My freshman year in high school I developed a passion for weight lifting and continued for the next 6 years until, at the age of 20, I began to suffer from a series of medical conditions that led to a weak immune system, contributed to my weight gain and caused debilitating pain that affected my ability to walk, lift my arms and function “normally” day to day. After 4 years of unsuccessful medical treatments and physical therapy, my doctor recommended I file for permanent disability. I refused! I knew my God was greater and that my body would get stronger. The years following I kept to a healthy diet, a low impact workout regimen; and while I continued to encounter a series of medical setbacks, through the grace of God, I began to find my way back to a comfortable level of health.

After my second child I found it difficult to lose the pregnancy weight. Carrying this weight put pressure on my sciatic nerve, which made it difficult to walk again. I had come too far in my journey to better health to ever go back. In October 2013, I found The Camp Transformation Center and have been on an incredible journey ever since! The classes really put my body to the test and for the first time in years I was able to lift weights again. Since staring at The Camp Transformation Center, I have lost 28lbs and 8 pant sizes. Now, at 31 years of age, I am stronger and feel more alive than ever before!”

Nadine writes in to Dr. Sam,

“Hi Sam. I am writing you today to tell you how much The Camp has changed my life. 10 weeks ago I sat in the Chino location and signed up for the 6 week challenge. Although I thought I knew what I was signing up for, I really had no idea. I started my 6 week challenge, I changed my eating habits, I worked out daily, I woke up at 4:30 am, met with Nick 3 times a week, hit as many boot camp sessions as my body could take. I FOLLOWED THE DAM INSTRUCTIONS. I truly learned the meaning behind “it is all in your mind, you can do this.” Don’t get me wrong, it was not easy. As much as I know you don’t want to hear it, I even cried for pizza one day. It was a true struggle. During it all, I kept in mind what you said at orientation, your story, what you had hoped to accomplish with people during the challenge.

bnaIn theory 6 weeks was a dime in the bucket of my total life span. My life began to change. I am a mother of 2. I have struggled with my weight for a few years now. I used to be smaller and weight hit and it did not go away. Maybe 5-10 lbs. here and there, but nothing major. Hitting a low point of 190 lbs., the most I have ever weighed, since the day I gave birth to my son 15 years ago. I went through my challenge, I struggled, I fought, I began to grow strong in ways I had never imagined. My entire family supported me. I am Mom, I have never asked for support, I’ve always been the one to give support, to be there for Girl Scouts, Little League, etc. The challenge began the start of the rest of my life. My 19 year old daughter began to eat clean, my 14 year old son went to boot camp with me, my boyfriend was at the gym with me daily, his 7 year old daughter reminded me we need to eat healthy. My life changed.

The objective to the Challenge was to lose 20 in 42 but the challenge has been far more than that. I have learned to eat healthy, to enjoy my life, to appreciate my body for the temple that it is, the one and only God has given me, to love eating healthy foods that give my body strength and energy rather than an emotional comfort. I LOVE asparagus, that literally is my wonder food. Its my go to YUM now. Never in a million years did this Chip lover think asparagus would be her new fave food. With that said I want to say THANK YOU!! From my entire family, THANK YOU!! Since the challenge, I have gained so much, including some awesome muscles, some killer legs, and I am on my way to some great arms. I am a true work in progress and I am so very proud of it. I am addicted to my new lifestyle.

Thank you again! Nadine”

Chadwick tells his story, “My body liked to be around 455 pounds for many years. I could not seem to get it to come off no matter what I did. Every time I “tried,” it would not happen quickly, and I would end up getting discouraged and go right back to my old lifestyle! I was totally addicted to fast food and living an unhealthy sedentary existence! My wife and I tried many diets, pills, and programs. Even though these products and diets helped some weight to come off, it was not long until it came right back on. I finally got my act together and started losing some weight. After a year, I had lost 70 pounds. But I could not seem to keep losing and was still not feeling that much better. In addition, my diabetes and cholesterol were still out of control. In fact, at 385 pounds, I had a plethora of massive embolisms hit both lungs and left leg in November of 2013. I only had 20% of my lung capacity left. I almost died.

Once out of the hospital, I lost 25 more pounds, but I still felt weak and unhealthy. I was stuck once again at 360 pounds, and the scale was not moving. After seeing The Camp Transformation Center advertised on Facebook, thinking the results were not true and that it was just a scam, my wife and I decided to go to the orientation. Sam was so inspirational and challenging that we could not help but give it a try. The investment was well worth it. I started dropping the weight and feeling better immediately.

During my first challenge, I tore the meniscus in both knees as I was running at 360 pounds. I was told I had to have surgery the next week. However, I was determined to forego surgery and continue my challenge. My doctor and Sam approved. The Camp’s Amazing Trainers helped me to modify the exercises to still be able to complete The 20 Pound Challenge.

My Results So Far: I lost 101 pounds and 22% body fat in 4 challenges (24 weeks / 6 months). By the second challenge, I was off all my diabetic and cholesterol medications, and my pulmonary hypertension was gone. My A1C had dropped from 11.5 to 5.7. At 259 pounds, I am able to put on my socks, tie my shoes, and get up off the floor without struggling. Even though I still have some work to do to reach my goal of having washboard abs, I know I am on the right path and can get it done at The Camp!

My wife joined me on the second challenge and has lost over 60 pounds! We are healthier as a family and are a lot more active together! We have had a total paradigm shift into a whole new healthy mental state and lifestyle! The Camp has totally changed our lives forever! Our kiddos are now confident that Kristie and I will be around for them for years to come! Whether you have or have not tried other things, look no further! The Camp is the place to get it done fast! Come Join OUR Amazing Fit Family!”
